Surrounding Communities:

Boulder City, Nevada: the administrative offices for Lake Mead Recreation Area and NPS Headquarters for Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument are located here at the gateway to Lake Mead. The only community in Nevada that restricts gambling, Boulder City has all services, frequent art shows and other activities in its many parks.

Bullhead City, Arizona: this growing, sprawling city follows the Arizona shoreline of the Colorado River, part of Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Bullhead City offers the closest, most complete services available for those enjoying Katherine Landing and the developed coves in the area.

Fredonia, Utah: all services for visitors to Grand Canyon's North Rim, Pipe Spring NM or any of the other outdoor recreation opportunities available in this picturesque area.

Henderson, Nevada: one of the fastest growing cities in the country, Henderson was once a factory town. Now sporting casinos, clean industry and a growing population in planned neighborhoods, Henderson offers all amenities to visitors.

Hurricane, Utah: centrally located, and with ample accomodations and services, this pioneer town has grown over the years to accomodate travelers.

Kanab, Utah: beautiful scenery, nearby outdoor attractions and all services are available in this town famous for western movie making.

Laughlin, Nevada: with modern casinos towering along the western banks of the Colorado River, Laughlin is complimented by its sister city, Bullhead, Arizona on the eastern bank.

Las Vegas, Nevada: a thriving metropolis known for its reputation as an entertainment capital. Legal gambling, world-class plays, musicals and other productions as well as family theme parks abound in this modern mecca of indoor fun.

Kingman, Arizona: centered between the Lake Mead NRA to the North West, Grand Canyon National Park to the North East, and local state recreation areas in every other direction, Kingman offers all services.

Mesquite, Nevada: boasting 5 "world class" championship golf courses, resort casinos and several national and state parks within a day's drive, Mesquite provides visitors with all services.

Overton, Nevada: barely spared the rising waters of Lake Mead, Overton is home to The Lost City Museum.

Seligman, Arizona: located along historic Route 66, this tiny town provides some services and a lot of atmosphere.

St. George, Utah: BLM's headquarters of the Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument are housed here. Centrally located to many NPS, State and BLM parks and recreation areas, St. George offers complete services as well as many entertainment opportunities.

Other Information

Roads into Parashant: Roads to and within the Monument are not paved and may become impassable when wet. Inquire locally about road conditions before heading out and tell someone where you are going. All vehicle travel is limited to established roads.
